Edinburgh Gardens, one of Yarra’s largest parks, covers 24 hectares in the heart of North Fitzroy. The park offers vast open lawns, majestic specimen trees, and shady spots, all connected by a network of paths.
Edinburgh Gardens is conveniently close to Rushall train station and Brunswick Street trams, and it’s easily accessible on foot or by bike thanks to its proximity to the Capital City Trail. About half of Edinburgh Gardens is designated as a dog off-leash area, but please note: Dogs are not allowed on W.T. Peterson Oval. Dogs are only allowed off-leash in unfenced sporting grounds when they’re not being used for approved sport (including training).
Dogs must be on leash within 10 metres of playgrounds and sporting grounds when they’re in use for approved sporting events (including training).
