Beachmere Off Leash Dog Beach has quickly become one of my favourite spots to take the dogs. It’s a well-thought-out space for dog owners, and there’s something special about it. The best time to visit is when the tide’s going out, as the beach opens up, revealing shallow tidal pools that are perfect for curious pups to splash around in. There’s plenty of room for dogs to run off-leash and meet other furry friends, making it a great place to chat with fellow dog lovers.

What I really appreciate is how easy it is to get to the beach. The car park is right next to a fully-fenced dog area, making it easy for the dogs to get from the car to the sand. The council has done a fantastic job providing amenities, like bins, drinking fountains (with a dog-friendly bowl), and even a hose with a timer to wash off the sand before heading home.

A word of caution: it can be slippery near the rocks at the water’s edge, so take care there. Also, since it’s an off-leash zone, be mindful of your kids around dogs that may not be used to sudden movements.

Overall, it’s a beautiful setting, well-equipped, and the dogs had a blast. I’m already planning our next visit!

The beach itself is really well kept, which makes for such a nice walk, and there’s so much space for the dogs to run around. Ours had a blast with all the friendly dogs around—there always seems to be a great vibe, both from the pets and their people. It can get a little busy during sailing club events, but honestly, the cheerful energy just adds to the atmosphere.

Every time we visit, it feels like we’ve found a little slice of paradise where the dogs can be themselves and the humans can just unwind. Quiet mornings are a real treat too—lots of room for Bailey (our pup) to zoom around and sniff everything in sight.

All in all, it’s just one of those beaches that makes you happy you came—friendly, beautiful, and made for dog lovers.

What really stood out to me was how close this dog beach is to the main surf spots around Trigg—it’s perfect if you want to combine a beach day with some time for the dogs to play. It’s usually pretty quiet too, which makes it such a nice, relaxed place to hang out.

The beach itself is surrounded by natural limestone rock formations, so it feels a bit tucked away and safe—great for letting the dogs run free without worry. On calm days, it’s just beautiful. You do have to head down a few stairs to get there, but it’s worth it once you’re on the sand. Plus, it’s still really close to other beaches, so it’s easy to make a day of it.

You and your dog will love the natural lagoon at Manly, which is great for cooling off a hot dog in the summer months or stretching all four legs year-round. Bordered by Manly Lagoon Reserve and Hinkler Park, there’s plenty of open space to enjoy without restrictions.

Tucked away at Sandringham Harbour, this off-lead dog beach offers a peaceful, scenic space for dogs to run free and swim safely. At sunset, you might catch a glimpse of local wildlife—like black swans gliding through the water—while dogs splash joyfully in the shallows. The beach features a wide, open shoreline perfect for exercise and play, and there’s a kiosk and clean public toilets near the car park for convenience. Kind community vibes are strong here, with locals looking out for one another. The only downside? Paid parking applies every day, including public holidays.
